TOOL HOLDER.
dittmann:tools‘ inner coolant drills have a morse taper MT3 for as little as ø 10 mm. Starting from ø 26 mm, our drills are designed for morse taper MT4.
CUTTING GEOMETRIES.
The standard design has a 118° point angle. The drills are also availabe with 175° point angle.
Please note that the point angle has an impact on the cutting performance. A large point angle may reduce the centering characteristics in such a way that it has an unfavourable impact on the accuracy of the drilling process. For precise guidance, we offer our HSS inner coolant with special designed 175° point angle including centering tip.

POINT GEOMETRY.
Our drills are in line with DIN 1412 A. The point geometry is cone-shaped, designed with a cut chisel edge. The cut chisel edge only constitutes 8-10% of the diameter. As a result the centering effect improves and the feed forces decrease. This geometry is mainly used when machining high-strength materials and for drilling large diameters. The shape is easy to grind and even withstands extreme stress and strain.
COOLANT SUPPLY.
The coolant is supplied through the tool either with radial or axial outlet. It is immensely important to use a suitable high-quality lubricant, that combines best cooling perfomance, corrosion protection, environmental compatibility and good recoatability. To achieve optimum cooling and lubricating effects, dittmann:tools recommends the use of pro:cooling DS 10.
APPLICATIONS.
dittmann:tools‘ HSS inner coolant drills are particularly suitable for drilling into solid materials, whereby drill depths up to 7xD are possible. In case the cutting edges are getting blunt, the drills can be regrinded easily.
Our HSS inner coolant drills are particularly suitable for use in beam saw-drill-lines and in flat drilling- & burning systems of well-known manufacturers such as PEDDINGHAUS, VOORTMAN, KALTENBACH, FICEP, VERNET-Behringer, SATO, DANOBAT.
